So far i ve been unable to find a spot exactly like this but i have found this spot. The fight varies across editions. Go back to the original portal and use it to go back to the nether. The wither is an undead hostile boss mob that floats and shoots explosive skulls at players and mobs.

Build another nether portal at least 16 blocks away and use it to travel back to the overworld. Find a 3 3 bedrock field in the ceiling of the nether with an air pocket above the center block. It is immune to both lava and fire. The bedrock wither has twice as much health and different attacks than its java counterpart.

The player needs only an axe lever and piston. The wither drops 50 experience points and a nether star a crafting ingredient for beacons. This way the obsidian is never in range to be broken when the wither is damaged. Apparently whenever there are nether fortresses in loaded chunks the game picks one of them and expands its bounding box so that fortress mobs can spawn on nether brick at any y level within the x and z.

Once the wither is spawned it will remain dormant for a few seconds then release a powerful explosion that can destroy obsidian. This nether design also has the benefit that if the wither escapes through the bedrock it would end up above the bedrock ceiling. It is currently the only player made hostile mob in the game. The wither can be safely spawned and allowed to float up.

This is how i fought the wither on a 1 12 vanilla smp. By finding a suitable bedrock zone where the wither can fit when spawning he will be stuck into the. This portal should spawn at the nether ceiling breaking some more of the bedrock. After this explosion the player can attack the wither.

A very easy method is to spawn the wither push its head in a bedrock ceiling in the nether then kill it. It was the first boss mob to be added to minecraft bedrock edition. Despite what everyone else is saying there is a way to farm wither skeletons above the bedrock ceiling and irks actually pretty easy.
