The bathroom exhaust pipe would be pushed up to the screen i wouldn t be cutting the existing vent secured by a box with a 4 in hole cut in it to hold the pipe exactly that will be attached to one of the supports holding the existing gable vent.
I would place a screen over the end of it to keep pests out of it.
